Stuttered Speech Assessment
Updated: Aug 22, 2019
Stuttering is a speech disorder in which the flow of speech is disrupted by involuntary repetitions and prolongations of sounds, syllables, words or phrases as well as involuntary silent pauses or blocks in which the person who stutters is unable to produce sounds. In this project, we created a rule-based agent that uses Google AI cloud services to detect stuttered segments in patients’ speech. This agent can help clinical practitioners to compute the severity of a patient’s stuttering and hence aid clinical assessment.
